Director JKEDI felicitates family of Martyrs on their visit to JKEDI

Srinagar, Aug 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) solemnly honored the family of Captain Tushar Mahajan (Shaurya Chakra) on their visit to JKEDI. This poignant occasion marks a moment of deep reflection and solidarity with the families of these valiant bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice while serving the nation.

In 2016, Captain Tushar Mahajan (Shaurya Chakra), Captain Pawan Kumar (Shaurya Chakra) and Lance Naik Om Prakash (Shaurya Chakra) exhibited extraordinary courage and unwavering dedication to their duty. Tragically, they laid down their lives at JKEDI Pampore campus defending the country during an act of heroism in the line of duty.

Abdul Gani, a devoted JKEDI employee, and two valiant CRPF Jawans, HC RK Rana and HC Bhola Singh also demonstrated unwavering dedication, making the ultimate sacrifice. Their selfless service and unwavering commitment to their work serve as a testament to their bravery, and they shall forever be honored and remembered for their sacrifice.

JKEDI extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, who continue to carry the weight of their loss with immense strength and grace. The family of Captain Tushar Mahajan was accompanied by the mother of Lt. Col Rishubh Sharma, who has also made supreme sacrifice in line of duty.

Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Director JKEDI felicitated the families of these brave hearts in a somber yet emotional event organized by the Institute, where the memory of Captain Tushar Mahajan was revered and cherished. It served as a tribute to the indomitable spirit of these brave souls who exemplified leadership, valor, and selflessness.

We remain committed to fostering an environment that honors their memory and perpetuates the ideals they fought for. The memories of Captain Tushar Mahajan, Captain Pawan Kumar, Lance Naik Om Prakash and Lt. Col Rishubh Sharma will continue to inspire generations to come,” said Director, JKEDI.

Senior Officers from 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), JKEDI faculty members and officers were present in the felicitation ceremony.
