LG Pays Tributes to Fallen Soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas

I humbly bow down to the families of our Kargil War heroes: Manoj Sinha

Srinagar, July 26 : On the 24th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Lieutenant Governor, J&K, Manoj Sinha Wednesday paid tributes to the fallen soldiers.

As per the news agency CNS, LG in a tweet said, “On Kargil Vijay Diwas, I pay tribute to valiant soldiers & officers who displayed magnificent valor & made supreme sacrifice for the motherland.

“I humbly bow down to the families of our Kargil War heroes. We’re forever indebted to them for their sacrifices & service to the nation,” he added in the tweet.

On the occasion, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid homage to the fallen soldiers and laid a wreath at the War Memorial in the Drass area of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

It is pertinent to mention that the Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26th July every year to mark the Indian forces’ victory in the 1999 Kargil War.
