Rupee opens strong at 81.71 12 against USD

Mumbai, July 25 :Rupee on Tuesday surged 12 paise at 81.71 against the US Dollar in the opening session on the selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at Foreign Exchange said.

The local unit rallied against other world currencies amid a positive opening in the equity market.

The Rupee recorded intra days highs and lows at 81.68 and 81.81 respectively.
