Jammu, July 25 : Alert troops of the Border Security Force during the wee hours foiled an attempt at narcotic smuggling and also eliminated one Pakistani smuggler in the Ramgarh area of the Samba sector in Jammu Frontier, the spokesman said on Tuesday.
The BSF spokesman said that in the intervening night of July 24–25, the vigilant BSF troops neutralised a Pak smuggler while he was trying to smuggle drugs through the Ramgarh border area.
During the initial search of the area, four packets of suspected Narcotics (approx 4 kgs) were found along with the dead body of the smuggler.
Further search of the area is in progress, said the spokesman.
