Srinagar, July 22: Police on Saturday said that they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 11 Kg of Poppy straw from his passion in north Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
“Under the operation ‘Drugs free Kulgam’, one person who was arrested along with 11Kg of Poppy Straw like contraband” said a police spokesman in a statement.
“On questioning the said person disclosed his name as Arshid Ahmad Bhat R/o Machewa”, the statement reads.
“In this regard case FIR under relevant section of law stands registered in Police Station Behibagh and investigation set into motion”, he said further.
