Wife Killed, Husband Critical in South Kashmir road Accident


Srinagar, July 18 : A woman was killed while her husband was critically injured in a road accident in Khrew area of South Kashmir Pulwama district on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

They told news agency Kashmir Scroll that two persons identified as Mohammad Altaf Ganie resident of Laru Pulwama and his Wife identified as Shahzada were critically injured after scooty they were travelling on skidded off the road in Wahab Sahib area of Khrew this afternoon.

They said both the injured were rushed to PHC Khrew for treatment, where from they were referred to SMHS Hospital for specialised treatment. However Shahzada (40) was declared dead on arrival and her husband is said to be critical.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
