All arrangements finalized for smooth conduct of SANJY 2023 via Baltal: Dr Raghav Langer

Ganderbal, June 27: To further fine tone arrangements for Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY) 2023, Secretary Planning Development & Monitoring Department (Nodal Officer for SANJY via Baltal Axis), Dr Raghav Langer, today visited Baltal and reviewed the preparations there.

During the visit, Secretary chaired the meeting which was attended by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir, Camp Director Baltal, Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri, ACD, SDM Kangan, CEO SDA and other district and sectoral officers while Camp Directors of Domail, Barimarg, Sangam and Holy Cave participated online.

On the occasion, Dr Raghav Langer finalized the arrangements for mobile connectivity, power and water supply, pitching of tents, public utilities, sanitation measures, help desk and other related utilities.

 Secretary took a detailed review of all the arrangements being put in place by various departments and other stakeholders. He also reviewed the action taken on the directions passed during his previous visit to Baltal.

While interacting with the Camp Directors, Dr Raghav Langer asked them to keep the details updated of all Nodal Officers/supervisors posted under their jurisdiction of all departments so that any issue pertaining to any department could be conveyed on real time so that quick redressal of the same is ensured.

He gave necessary directions to the concerned departments for ensuring all pending minor works are completed well before commencement of Yatra.

While reviewing the illumination plan, Executive Engineer informed that adequate street lights have been installed at Baltal Base Camp and enroute upto Holy Cave besides 19 gensets along with manpower and fuel have also been installed at identified locations.

Regarding macadamization of roads, Secretary directed the concerned authorities to ensure completion of blacktopping and necessary repair works of roads.

While finalizing the arrangements, Dr. Raghav Langer stressed upon the officers to work as a team for successful conduct of the pilgrimage. He added that all are equal stakeholders in smooth and successful conduct of this religious yatra.
