Srinagar, June 24: Two shops were gutted in a fire incident at Residency Road Srinagar on Saturday.
A fire broke out in one of the shops at Fairdeal Shopping Complex in which two shops were damaged.
During the process of firefighting, two persons including a firefighter sustained injuries and were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar.
One of the traders told news agency Kashmir News Trust that two shops ‘Saif & Sons’ and another belonging to one Mushtaq Ahmed who was running Tour & Travel Business were damaged in the fire incident.
A police official said that a case has been registered to know about the cause of the fire.
A civilian identified as Rouf Ahmed and a firefighter Gulzar Ahmed fell unconscious due to excessive smoke emanating from the shops. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
