Srinagar Police Arrest Man Carrying 800 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate in Vehicle

Srinagar , June 20: Police on Tuesday arrested a person in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, carrying a huge number of codeine phosphate bottles in his vehicle.

Srinagar Police as per news agency CNS, tweeted, “During Naka checking at Chanpura, a Scorpio JK01AL 7786 fled from naka & was intercepted. During the search, 800 bottles containing Codeine phosphate were recovered.”

The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Yaseen Rather, a resident of Khan Colony Chanapora, added police in the tweet.

Following his arrest, Police registered an FIR no 42/2023 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act at Chanapora Police Station.
