DC Ganderbal takes stock of arrangements at transit camp Manigam for SANJY 2023

 

Ganderbal, June 16:  The Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Shyambir today took stock of the arrangements being put in place at transit camp Manigam by various line departments for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2023.

On the occasion, the DC reviewed the arrangements for pitching of tents, health facilities, installation of ROs, lights, cleanliness, signage, public convenience, installation of PAS and other facilities.

The DC inspected the tentage area and directed the concerned that good quality tents shall be pitched as per discussed plan with proper bedding and other required facilities.

While discussing the waste management plan, the EO Municipal Council Ganderbal said that a viable solid liquid waste management plan will be put in place during the Yatra period.

He also gave necessary directions for cleanliness of toilets, proper signage besides stressed on efficient utilization of space and proper waste management to ensure smooth conduct of SANJY 2023.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, Tehsildar Lar and representatives from other line departments.
