Amar Singh College organises Blood Donation Camp

Students & faculty donate 48 points of Blood

Srinagar, June 14: A one day Blood Donation Camp was Wednesday organized by the Red Ribbon Club, NSS & NCC Wings of Amar Singh College in collaboration with Umate Rasool (SAW) Relief Trust & Blood Bank JLNM Hospital, Rainawari Srinagar within the College campus, here.

The camp was inaugurated by Director Colleges, HED Prof. (Dr) Yasmeen Ashai in presence of a large number of blood donors, guests and faculty.

In her inaugural address, Prof. Ashai was all grateful to the organizers for such an initiative that ultimately aims to put life in life less. She remarked that “RAKT DHAN HAI MAHA DHAN”, and impressed upon the stakeholders to be among the blood donors for saving lives of humans.

A large number of students and faculty members of the college enthusiastically took part in the blood donation and proudly served for the cause to save human lives.

36 students and 12 faculty members donated 48 points of blood to the Blood Bank of JLNM Hospital Rainawari Srinagar.

Dr. Tajamul Hussain incharge JLNM hospital Rainawari Srinagar, interacted with all the volunteers of blood donation camp and highlighted various benefits of blood donation.

Former College Principal, Mujahid Ahmad voluntarily donated the blood on the occasion.

Red Ribbon Club Officers of Amar Singh College, Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr) Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, applauded the organizers and blood donors. He was all grateful to the Director Colleges HED, Prof. (Dr) Yasmeen Ashai for gracing the occasion.

He further, extended his gratitude to Umate RasoolSAW Relief Trust & Blood Bank JLNM Hospital, Rainawari Srinagar, for facilitating the camp with necessary support.

Dr. Shabnam Ara and Prof. Hilal Ahmad Bhat facilitated and coordinated the event.
