Safina Baig chairs meeting, discusses issues related to current year Projects/ 2022-23 Expenditure

Rs 136 Crore Budget Approved for District Capex & Rs. 110 Crores for Area Development Fund for F.Y. 2023-24

Baramulla, June 12: The Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safina Baig today chaired a meeting of all the concerned Officers at Dak Bungalow here to discuss various issues related to current year projects and last year expenditure under District CAPEX/ADP/ UT Capex/ CD and Panchayat.

At the outset, the Chairperson DDC was apprised with regard to projects being executed by various departments in the district for the year 2023-24.

During the meeting, it was also informed that budget of Rs. 136 Crores was approved for District Capex and Rs. 110 Crores for Area Development Fund for the current  financial year.

A comprehensive discussion was also held on the expenditure of the year 2022-23.

After reviewing the sector wise progress of the projects, the chairperson impressed upon all the departments/ executing agencies to ensure timely completion of all developmental works in a time bound manner.

Reviewing the issues hampering the pace of progress, the chairperson asked the concerned to monitor the pace of progress on a regular basis and resolve the issues hampering the progress of several works at an earliest.

Safina Baig directed the officers to put in best efforts for maximum and optimum utilization of funds under different schemes.

On approval of the plan for 2023-24 financial year, Safina Baig instructed the officers for involving all PRIs in identification of all priority works to be taken up in hand for the financial year 2023-24.
