Srinagar, June 7: In an effort to keep repairers of weights and measures abreast with the latest developments in the field and enhance their skill sets, the Legal Metrology Department (LMD) J&K on the directions of Controller LMD J&K, Majid K. A. Drabu organized a training programme at Srinagar.
The Controller exhorted the participants to take benefit from these training sessions and provide quality service to the users of weights and measures in view of the changing trends in the legal metrology field.
During the day-long programme, lectures along with practical demonstration were given on classification/ verification of non automatic weighing instruments and procedure of sealing as per the model approval of equipment.
The participants appreciated the initiative taken by the department in organizing such training programmes.
