Man’s Body Found In Rajouri Woods

Police Launches Inquest Proceedings

Jammu, May 20: Body of man was recovered from forest area in Rajouri district on Saturday.

Official sources told GNS that the man had apparently gone to fetch wood from nearby forests but did not return back. Subsequently police were informed and a team of cops recovered the body from Ghai Forest.

The deceased person has been identified as Zafar Iqbal son of Mureed Hussain Mughal of Ghambir Mughlan Hattan Seri area of Rajouri.

Confirming it, a police official told GNS that inquest proceedings under section 174/CrPC have been initiated. He said the body was shifted to Sub district Hospital Manjakote in Rajouri for postmortem and the body will be handed over after medico-legal formalities.
