World Mother’s Day : Markez Fikro Fun, Asian Mail Communications, and Muslim Education Trust Sopore jointly organized the event

Sopore,May 15:: A Seminar titled ‘Role of Mother in the Universe’ was held in the auditorium of Muslim Education Trust (MET) in Sopore. The Chairperson of the District Development Council (Baramulla), Safina Baig was the Chief Guest.

During the event, students studying in Muslim Education Trust (MET) talk about the greatness of mothers which includes the 11th and 10th-grade students Sadia Manzoor and Safina Manzoor. Rashid Rahil, Editor-in-Chief of Asian Mail, gave the welcome address. While speaking to the audience, he said that the only purpose of such an event of Asian Mail is to enlighten the young generation with the legacy of its glorious and unforgettable past.

He said that it is through the continuous efforts of the Asian Mail organisation that the young generation, which is our bright future, should be adorned with the jewels of Kashmiri traditions because the Asian Mail has realised that the young generation has inherited the gift of its ancestors. They are losing the teachings and traditions, which need to be restored.

Safina Baig, the first woman head of the Jammu and Kashmir Hajj Committee and Chairperson of the District Development Council (Baramulla), while addressing the audience said that today’s event was organised to pay tribute to the greatness and love of the mother. It was said, ‘Mother is prayer and prayers in front of the Most Merciful Lord and protects him every step. God recognised her greatness in such a way that he placed heaven under the feet of the mother.

On this occasion, many speakers talk about the mother, among them were educationist Shahida Akhtar, Journalist Farzana Mumtaz, Educationist Nisar Al Kareem, Social worker Abdul Qayyum Rafiabadi, Professor Muhammad Yusuf Zargar, Dr. Sajjad Athar, Professor Hashmatullah, former Principal (MET Sopore) Zubaida, Writer and poet Maqbool Ferozi, Professor Irshad, Poet Hameed Nasir and Javed Ahmed.

 


During the ceremony, the school students presented a stage play as a tribute to the mother, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
Humaira Syed was the host on this occasion while a team of Asian Mail in which Managing Director Mehboob Jeelani, Firdous Wani, Muhammad Ashraf Shah, and cameraman Imtiyaz Gulzar played an important role in organising the event.

The event was broadcast live on all the multimedia platforms of Asian, while the technical team of Asian Mail played an excellent and prominent role in it.
