DC Gbl directs for timely & quality disposal of grievances raised in Block Diwas programs

Ganderbal, May 6: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a follow up meeting to discuss the status of grievances raised by locals during the proceedings of weekly Block Diwas programs in the district.

The DC reviewed the status of grievances raised during the weekly Block Diwas held at Gund block including lack of transport facilities in block Gund, compensation to land donors of PMGSY road, augmentation of water supply, completion of Health and Wellness Centre at Batkullan and PHC Kullan, J&K Bank counter at Hariganiwan and other issues.

While reviewing the action taken report by the concerned departments, the DC directed them to ensure timely and quality disposal of the grievances raised by the general public during the weekly Block Diwas programs as per their competence.

Regarding completion of the Health and Wellness Centre at Batkullan and PHC Kullan, the meeting was informed that both health centers are nearing completion and shall be completed in 15 days.

Regarding J&K Bank counter at Hariganiwan, Lead Bank Manager informed that J&K Bank counter is already functioning in the area and shall be made fully functional once approved by the concerned authorities.

Executive Engineer Jal Shakti was directed to ensure potable water is properly treated and water tankers shall be made available in the area as per the requirement of the public.

The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; LDM, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, ARTO and other concerned.
