1 Killed, Several Injured in B’la Road Mishap

‘Group of Youths Was On Way To Participate in Cricket Match’

Srinagar, May 2 : A person was killed and several others injured after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Rafiabad area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district this afternoon, officials said.

They told GNS that a Scorpio skidded and rolled down at Chakk Sithloo, resulting in instant death of an occupant and injuries to several others.

The group of youths, they said, was on their way to participate in a Cricket match.

Identifying the deceased as one Kaiser Ahmed Dar son of Gulzar Ahmed Dar of Jalsheeri Baramulla, the officials further said the injured were taken to a nearby health facility for immediate treatment.

Confirming it, a police official told GNS that they have taken cognizance of the incident for further investigations.
