District Admin Ganderbal held Block Diwas at Lar

Ganderbal, Apr 26: To assess the local issues and listen to the grievances of the people for speedy disposal of the same, the District Administration Ganderbal today held Block Diwas at Higher Secondary School Lar which was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani.

The camp was attended by the prominent citizens and PRIs of block Lar who raised several issues and demands including changing of old water pipes, renovation of High School building at Chutwaliwar, commissioning of vocational training centre at Chountwaliwar, health sub Centre for Chutwaliwar, commissioning of water filtration plant, development of road from Dar Mohalla to main road, health camps, construction of Shelter sheds, staff dearth in Ayush Centre Chantan Gulabpora, staff dearth in Animal Husbandry Centre Chountwaliwar, release of payment  to rented panchayats and other issues of public importance were projected.

Interacting with the locals, the ADDC said that District Administration is ensuring to provide all facilities to the people at their doorsteps and in this regard necessary instructions are already given to line departments. He also appealed to people to participate actively in block diwas programmes so that the issues of daily importance are redressed in a time bound manner.

The ADDC assured quality disposal of genuine issues in a time-bound manner and also directed the concerned department to resolve the same expeditiously and submit the action taken report at an earliest.

On-spot directions were given to the officers/officials for the redressal of many issues of urgent nature as per the competence of concerned departments.

On the occasion several departments highlighted the objectives of the various governmental programmes which are aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of the people.

The participants were also made aware about the launch of Kissan Sampark Abhiyan under Holistic Agriculture Development plan for which over Rs 5000 crore has been earmarked to revive the agriculture sector on which around 70 percent population is dependent directly or indirectly.

The ADDC appealed the PRIs to play their role in making people aware about the Holistic agriculture development Programme so that maximum farmers are benefited.

The programme was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistance Commissioner Panchayat, Chief Medical officer, DSHO, Tehsildar Lar, BDO Lar besides other district and sectoral officers.
