DC Ganderbal visits proposed venue for Youth Entrepreneurship Festival

Reviews infrastructural requirements at venue for carrying various events

Ganderbal, Apr 13: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir inspected the available infrastructure in GDC Ganderbal where many events related to Youth Entrepreneurship Festival are to be held.

During the visit, the DC took a round of available infrastructure at GDC and gave necessary instructions for carrying out various activities during the Festival.

The DC directed for making the Youth Lane alongside the venue where a number of Youth Engaging Mural Paintings shall be painted on the walls.

He also directed for setting up an Entrepreneurship Development Cell in GDC where Innovation labs, Idea Incubation labs and Tinkering Labs shall be set.

Shyambir said that a committee shall be framed which will make the Entrepreneurship Development Cell functional. The committee shall comprise experts of innovation and entrepreneurship and representatives from college administration.

The DC also checked the venue for Success and Innovation talk events in which experts of innovation and successful entrepreneurs of the district shall deliver their sessions and share their success stories.

The land for the Public library was also identified and it was directed to submit the plan and start the construction of the building as soon as possible.

The DC said that the Youth are the backbone of the district and they must be empowered and exposed to these types of activities for the progress of the country.

The DC was accompanied by ADDC Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; ExEn R&B and Tehsildar Ganderbal during the visit.
