Parliamentary Committee Led By Nitin Gadkari On Two Day Visit To Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 10: A delegation of eight members of parliament both from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha headed by Nitan Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway arrived in summer capital Srinagar on Sunday, officials said.

Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir Dot Com reported that eight members of Parliament from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha arrived in Srinagar for two days to check the ground situation in Kashmir.

Gadkari will also address the MPs, who are part of Parliamentary Consultative Committee of Ministry Of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH) at Sonamarg.

They will meet top officials of the JK administration here and would visit Sonamarg in Ganderbal district on Monday to review the progress of work on twin tunnels coming up on the Srinagar-Leh Highway including Asia’s longest Zojila Tunnel and Z-Morh Tunnel, he said.
