Dr Saleem ur Rehman accorded farewell on his superannuation

Srinagar, Mar 31: Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Director General Family Welfare MCH & Immunization J&K was today accorded farewell  at DG office Nagrota Jammu after attaining superannuation.

 He has rendered meritorious service of 35 years at different posts. He had served in important positions as Director Health Services Jammu, Director General Health Services Kashmir, Project Director AIDS Control Program J&K, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K, President J&K and Ladakh State Medical Council and as Member National Medical Commission, India.

 The health department has achieved new heights during his tenure which included 100% achievement of Routine Immunization and Covid vaccination, increase in acceptance of Family Planning methods (NSV/Laproligation) in J&K.

Besides, various trainings as well as workshops relating to Routine Immunization, Family Planning and Comprehensive Abortion Care to reduce infant/child mortality and Maternal Mortality Rate in J&K were organised during his tenure in the department.

 Departmental Promotions of 306 Health Workers were also conducted under his leadership which was a landmark achievement during his tenure.
