Amritpal Singh Lookout: Jammu Police detains couple for alleged links with close aide

Jammu, Mar 25 : In continuation with ongoing raids to catch on the run ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh, Police have detained a couple for their alleged links with one of his aides from Ranbir Singh Pura area here in the city outskirts.

In a message Jammu Police on Saturday said, “Amrik Singh, resident of R S Pura and his wife namely Sarabjeet Kour were detained and further handed over to Punjab Police.”

They have been detained for reportedly having links with Papalpreet Singh (a close aides of Amritpal Singh).

According to police sources, the mobile phones of the couple have also been seized for further investigation.

“The matter is being investigated by Punjab Police and they will be questioning the couple into the case,” they added.

Papalpreet reportedly had been working with Amritpal closely since he returned to India last year and took over the reins of ‘Waris Punjab De’, an organisation founded by actor Deep Sidhu, who died in a road accident in 2021.
