BJP leaders call on Tarun Chugh, discuss objectives of J&K Budget

New Delhi, Mar 22: Maintaining that elections could be declared by Election Commission of India (ECI) any time, BJP national general secretary, Tarun Chugh has asked the party men from J&K to gear up for the same and intensify the party activities in the length and breadth of the UT.

Tarun Chugh was talking to a delegation of senior BJP leaders from J&K who called on him here, today. They were led by party vice president, Yudhvir Sethi and general secretary and Ex MLC, Vibodh Gupta.

Chugh said announcing of dates for Assembly elections is prerogative of ECI which can announce the polls at any time but we have to be always ready for the same.

He asked the party leaders to concentrate on those booths during the booth Sushaktikaran programme where the party is not so strong and apprise the people about the public welfare schemes launched by Modi Government.

He said the booth Sushaktikaran programme will continue up to Lok Sabha elections of 2024 and party men should reach length and breadth of the people with Modi Government’s policies and programmes.

While discussing the Jammu and Kashmir Budget for the year 2023-24 presented recently by FM Nirmala Sitharaman he said Budget is likely to cater to all the aspirations of the people of the Union Territory with special focus on youths, women, and farmers.

Senior BJP leaders Rajeev Charak, Veenu Khanna, Sanjay Baru, Naresh Singh and Rekha Mahajan were also present in the meeting.

The BJP leaders had called on Chugh as a part of Budget Pe Charcha and held threadbare discussion on the possibilities which the current budget would bring in the course of time as meticulous effort has been made by the stakeholders to make this year’s budget best among all the previous ones.

Tarun Chugh, while praising the layout of the Budget, said that FM has taken care of every minute aspect in this document and it is likely that every section of society will get benefit of this futuristic plan. He asked BJP leaders to ensure that every bit of this budget reaches out to masses as they should have the idea about how Modi Government is taking pain to make their lives convenient and progressive.

Responding to Tarun Chugh’s assertion, Yudhvir said that under the realms of PM Modi’s dispensation, J&K is getting first priority in all aspects and the budget for the UT is testimony to the fact that in coming years, J&K is going to become the best region in the country offering all the modern facilities and world class infra to the people.

Vibodh Gupta said that this budget would usher all round development in J&K with special focus on welfare of women and youth, besides promotion of tourism, industrialisation, construction of power projects and other development works.
