Orchardists group flagged-off from Ganderbal for Training/Exposure tour to SKUAST-K

Ganderbal, Mar 20: The Horticulture department Ganderbal today organized a daylong Training/Exposure visit in which 20 orchardists visited SKUAST-K Shalimar.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah flagged-off the orchardists of the district from Mini-Secretariat Complex, Ganderbal in presence of Chief Horticulture officer Ganderbal, Horticulture Development officer Ganderbal and other officials of the Department.

The major thrust of the training/exposure visit remained on dissemination of technology to know about modern, scientific know-how and applied technology in the Horticulture sector.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADC appreciated the role and efforts of the Horticulture Department.

Chief Horticulture Officer Ganderbal, Abdul Hameed Bhat briefed the ADC about the purpose of the programme and the arrangements made for the farmers going for one day training/exposure visit within UT under NMAET (ATMA).
