DC B’la chairs SFCAC Committee meeting

Baramulla, Mar 17: A meeting of the Sponsorship & Foster Care Approval Committee (SFCAC) was held today at Baramulla under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar.

172 application forms were screened by the committee, among which 59 files were rejected. 113 eligible cases were further screened for approving the cases under the allotted quota of 58.

The DC directed the SFCAC Committee members to ensure that the files are approved as per the prioritization set by the guidelines issued by the Government. She directed that Field Reports shall be prepared by the agencies of the Mission Vatsalya regarding the cases.

Meanwhile, the DC directed the Committee members that the Case files in favour of the students should be completed at an earliest, so that the Sponsorship amount is released to the students at an earliest.

The Member Secretary SFCAC Committee, DSWO Baramulla briefed the meeting that the case files need scrutinization and prioritization of the SFCAC committee. It was informed that the cases are sponsored for a period of 3 years.

Members of the SFCAC viz., Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, DSWO Baramulla, PO NIC, PO IC and TSWO Kupwara attended the meeting.
