260 Honey Bee Colonies distributed among beneficiaries of block Gund under ABDP

Ganderbal, Mar 15: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today distributed Honey Bee Colonies among beneficiaries during an event organised by Agriculture department Ganderbal.

As many as 260 Honey Bee Colonies were distributed among 45 identified beneficiaries of Block Gund for establishment of Apiculture development Units for livelihood generation under Aspirational Block Development Program (ABDP).

While interacting with the beneficiaries, the DC stressed upon the gathering especially unemployed youth to come forward and avail the benefits under different employment generation schemes of the department viz. apiculture, mushroom cultivation, protected vegetable cultivation and mechanised farming.

The event was also attended by ADDC Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, Chief Planning Officer Gandebal, Sub Divisional Magistrate Kangan besides officers from Agriculture department.
