Veterans Mela

 

Srinagar, Mar 10: A ‘Veterans Mela’ was organised at Raina Auditorium, Leh on  10 March 2023 by Headquarters Leh Sub Area under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps. The rally was attended by large number of Veterans and War Heroes from across the Ladakh Region.

 

 

The ‘Veterans Mela’ was inaugurated by General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps in presence of General Officer Commanding, Leh Sub Area and many senior serving Military/ Civilian officers and dignitaries. The Mela was aimed at providing assistance and welfare items to Nine Ex-Servicemen Societies for their respective Community Welfare Centres.

 

 

During the event, members from Ex-Servicemen League Leh, Nubra, Basgo, Ex-Servicemen Association Leh, Phyang, Hemishukpachan, Tia and Ex-Servicemen Welfare Trust Kargil were present.

 

 

The Mela was a huge success, witnessing an unprecedented turnout of Veterans and War Heroes. They were also provided information about various welfare schemes launched by the Indian Army as well as by Local Military Authorities/ Civil Administration.
