Div Com reviews progress on mega development projects in Jammu division

Jammu, Mar 10: Divisional Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar held a meeting with concerned officers to review the progress on various mega development projects being executed in the districts of Jammu division.

The projects under review included Power, Health and Medical Education, Higher Education, Infrastructure (Roads and Buildings), Smart City Projects, Jal Jeevan Mission, PMGSY roads, among others. The Div Com was given a detailed progress report on all the executed projects, which revealed that work was currently in progress on all of them.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts also briefed the Div Com on the progress of the development works being executed in their areas. They provided information on the status of completed projects and those that were nearing completion. The Div Com also took a detailed review of the projects for laying of Foundation stones.

The Divisional Commissioner emphasised the need for adherence to quality specifications and timely completion of the projects. He directed the concerned departments to work in synergy and ensure regular monitoring of the work. He also stressed the importance of maintaining inter-department coordination, which is vital for expediting the pace of developmental works.

The Div Com urged the concerned officers to remove bottlenecks and expedite the pace of work on all executed projects to ensure their timely completion. Div Com asked the DCs to submit a list of completed projects and those near completion in their respective districts.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from various departments such as MD NHM, Director Tourism, Commissioner JMC, VC JDA, Director Industries and Commerce, Chief Engineers of PWD, Jal Shakti, JPDCL, PMGSY, Health, Education, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society and other concerned departments.

The Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division attended the meeting through video conferencing.
