DC B’la reviews progress under District Good Governance Index

Baramulla, Mar 6: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting of concerned officers, here to review the progress of indicators under District Good Governance Index (DGGI).

It is important to mention that the District Administration Baramulla has been making all concerted efforts to improve the service delivery system at ground level and all efforts are on to register best performance with regard to indicators of GGI.

On the occasion, the DC took a detailed review of each department and received updated status and feedback regarding indicators submitted by various district officers.

She stressed upon them to gear up their field activities and improve their performance under DGGI in all sectors including PMAY (Urban), Jal Shakti, Atal Pension Yojana, PM-JAY Sehat besides  Employment and Mumkin schemes.

Directing officers for ensuring the feasibility in the works, the DC said that the performance of all Departments is now measurable as per the parameters of Good Governance Index on certain sectors and selected indicators, besides quantity and quality of every work is being monitored to check the performance to ensure efficient and prompt public delivery system.

The officers were also directed to convene regular meetings with their subordinate officers/ field functionaries to have updated performance under monthly/Annual DGGI information which is monitored at UT level by the Chief Secretary.
