Anantnag, Feb 18: An eight-year-old minor died when a tree fell on him in Magraypora area of Achabal in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday evening.
An official told GNS that the minor identified as Azhar Jahangir son of Jahangir Ahmad Ganie of Kanganhall Achabal came under the tree fell which was cut down by some locals. The official said that the minor, who was going on cycle at the time of the incident, was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. Police have taken cognizance of the incident, the official added.
