EAM calls on Australian PM in Sydney
New Delhi, Feb 18:External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is visiting Sydney, on Saturday called on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and discussed the bilateral strategic partnership, ahead of the Australian PM’s visit to India next month.
In tweets, the EAM said he conveyed the personal greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Australian PM.

“Our discussions reflected the full spirit of our strategic partnership. Apprised

The Australian PM in a tweet on the meeting said:
“It was wonderful to meet with @DrSJaishankar this morning ahead of my trip to India next month.
“We discussed our strategic partnership, economic opportunities and the people-to-people ties that enrich our nations.”
Separately, EAM Jaishankar also addressed the Raisina Sydney Business Breakfast meeting where he stressed that the bilateral FTA which came into force in December last year will turbocharge the relationship.

The EAM flew to Sydney from Fiji where he attended the 12th World Hindi Conference.
