Drug peddler arrested, Contraband substances recovered by Pulwama Police

Pulwama,Feb 17 :Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking stringent actions against Drug Peddlers, Pulwama Police has arrested one more Drug Peddler and recovered contraband substances. On a specific information received by Police Station Litter that one person namely Shakeel Ahmad Ganai S/O Ab Gani R/O Tumlihaal is indulged in drug peddling to the youths and has concealed narcotic substances in his residential house. Acting upon the information Police party from PS Litter along with Magistrate raided the said house at Tumlihaal Pulwama.

During search of the house 2 bags containing 10.5kgms of cannabis powder were recovered from the house. The accused person has been arrested and to this effect Case FIR No 11/2023 u/s 8/20 of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Litter and investigation set into motion.
Strict & legal actions against Drug Peddlers will continue in future as well. People are requested to cooperate with Police in eliminating the Drug menace from the society.
