Progress on Construction of SWM sheds reviewed at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Feb 13: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-u-Din Shah today convened a joint meeting of Revenue and Rural Development departments to review the progress on construction of Solid Waste Management (SWM) sheds under SWM (G) in the district and issues hindering the progress of work.

At the outset, the ADC sought status of SWM sheds completed, status of site identification for SWM sheds in panchayats, feasibility and issues being faced while execution of work.

On the occasion, the ADC sought detailed report panchayat wise regarding the status of identified land and hindrances being faced.

The concerned pathwaris briefed the ADC about the status of land identified for construction of SWM sheds and issues being faced on such locations.

While discussing issues, the ADC exhorted both revenue and RDD officials to work in close coordination and resolve all issues on priority so that all SWM sheds are completed in identification locations on time.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Planning, BDOs, Tehsildars, VLWs and pathwari concerned.
