Srinagar, Feb 1: BJP senior leader & Party’s working committee member Er Syed Showkat Gayoor Andrabi has been appointed as Executive Member of National Commission for Minorities.
According to an order, Er Syed Showkat Gayoor Andrabi has been appointed/nominated as Member of National Commission for Minorities representing UT of J&K at National level.
The panel members from different States and Union Territories have the advisory role regarding various issues faced by minorities of that particular state/UT with the probable suggestions for resolution of these problems.
Gayoor, a civil engineer by profession, is an acknowledged Social & Political activist had already served for three years as an Executive Council Member for Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora and his contribution and dedication have earned him high regards & respect.
BJP had recently nominated him as en executive member of working committee for J&K as well.
Er Gayoor, the Chairman of Gayoor Foundation, a renowned and noted organisation meant for promotion of Social Justice, Art, Culture and Literature has been tirelessly working for uplifting of poor, down trodden and ignored classes of the society.
He has been rewarded for noted social work for minorities and backward classes.
