Young boy injured in 12-Bore rifle fire in North Kashmir

Baramulla, Jan 27: A 14-year-old boy was injured after being hit by a shot from a 12-Bore rifle in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that an unknown person used his 12-Bore rifle ‘illegally leading to the injuries to a young boy identified as Shair Ahmed Khan, a resident of the Payerpora Hyhama area of Kupwara district.

The victim was taken to Sub-District Hospital Kupwara where doctors referred him to GMC Baramulla. The condition of the victim is stated to be stable. He has received injuries to his face.

Police in this regard have registered an FIR vide number 12/2023 under section 307 IPC 3/27 Arms Act and launched a hunt to track down the accused.
