Case registered against duo for littering in public places in Budgam

Budgam, Jan 18 : A case has been registered against the duo for allegedly throwing garbage and littering in public places in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

An official from the district administration Budgam told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the case was registered against the two habitual offenders hailing from Ichgam village of the district for their negligent acts likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life.

The official said that a case has been registered against the duo at police station Budgam on the directions of the local Panchayat.

“They were challaned for allegedly throwing household garbage on the road, creating conditions for the spread of infectious diseases,” the official said.

He said on the one hand Panchayats are working hard to create better living conditions for the people and on the other hand, some irresponsible people are playing spoilsport and defacing public property, roads, and parks.
