Kolkata Police arrested 3rd suspect having link with ISIS

Kolkata, Jan 10 :The Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police has arrested yet another
suspect, linked with ISIS, from Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, barely three days after two such
suspects were arrested from Howrah district, official sources said on Tuesday
The latest suspect, identified as Abdul Raquib Queresy ( 33) was picked from a hideout at
Khandwa on Tuesday, a follow up of the STF, which had arrested Md Saddam (28) and
Sayeed Ahmed (30) from Howrah district in West Bengal on January 6 last.
An STF team was rushed to Madhya Pradesh after the duo told the investigation officials about
their third link at Khandwa in MP.
The third link was being brought to Kolkata with necessary judicial formalites there, the sources added.
They said Qureshi, a former activist of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), was
in constant touch with Saddam and Ahmed.
The two accused revealed the name of Qureshi during interrogation.
The two were charged under sections 121 (waging war against the government) and 122 (collecting arms to wage war) of the Indian Penal Code, and are now in police custody.
Interrogations revealed that the duo, arrested earlier, were contacting local youths, who have resources for procuring arms and ammunition and raising funds to carry out suspected terrorist activities
