IRCS  Blood Bank to be made functional by January 2023: Div Com Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 23: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole today convened a meeting of officers to review the readiness of infrastructure of Blood Bank established by Indian Red Cross Society, (IRCS) J&K in Srinagar.

The meeting was attended by ADC, Srinagar; General Secretary Indian Redcross Society, J&K; officers of JKPCC, GMC,  Directorate of Health services of Kashmir, State Aids Control Society, PDD etc

The meeting discussed the completion of pending work of  Blood Bank, release of payment, deputation of medical and paramedical staff for operation of the Blood Bank.

Addressing the meeting, Div Com directed JKPCC to complete entire pending work of Blood Bank infrastructure by 15th  of January so that it could be made functional as soon as possible.

The meeting was assured by concerned agency that the pending work of steel doors and glass work for window frames shall be completed on time.

Meanwhile, Div Com asked Srinagar Smart City to release an  amount of Rs 1cr  to JKPCC while rest of funds should be released  after completion of pending work and operation of Blood Bank.

Regarding, the deputation of staff to strengthen manpower of  the Blood Bank and to provide  services, Div Com issued directions to Directorate of Health Services Kashmir to provide six staff members to Indian Red Cross Society, J&K, including Pathologist, Lab Technician, Lab Technologist, Nurses.
