Ganderbal, Dec 7: To eradicate the menace of drug abuse prevalent in the society, Ganderbal Police continues its strict action against the drug peddlers. Today one more drug Peddler was apprehended under the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora.
During Naka, Police party led by DO Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal apprehended one more accused with Contraband Substance at Narainbagh. During his personal search, Contraband Substance, Bhang Patri which he was carrying in a sack was recovered and seized on the spot. The accused was arrested and on questioning he disclosed his identity as Adil Ah Guroo S/O. Gh Qadir Guroo R/. Narainbagh.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 330/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up.
Ganderbal Police is committed to eradicate the deadly menace of Drugs from the District and such action will continue in future. General public is requested to cooperate with Police by way of sharing inputs related to drug peddling so that appropriate action can be initiated under law.
