  Youth Volleyball championship was organized by 79 Battalion of CRPF Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 3: Youth Volleyball championship was organized Saturday under the aegis of Youth Engagement program in 79 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (Srinagar). In which a total 03 local teams from Sonwar (Srinagar), Lawaypora (Srinagar) and Indra Nagar (Srinagar) participated in the championship. The competition was inaugurated by Shri Kishore Kumar, Commandant 79 Bn (Srinagar) after introducing all the players. The first match of the competition  was played between the team of Sonwar (Srinagar) and Indra Nagar, in which Sonwar (Srinagar) team won the match with 2-0. After this the 2ND match was played between Lawaypora (Srinagar) and Indra Nagar (Srinagar) in which Lawaypora (Srinagar) team won with 2-0. The final match of Youth Volleyball championship was played between Sonwar (Srinagar) and Lawaypora (Srinagar) in which both the  team played excellent sportsmanship and in the end Sonwar (Srinagar) team won with 2-1.

At the conclusion of the competition chief Guest Shri Kishore Kumar, Commandant 79 Bn, CRPF (Srinagar) addressed the players about the importance of sports and its impact on the society, thus motivating the local youth to join various sports programme of 79 Bn, who CRPF, (Srinagar) has always been working for the welfare of the people, social harmony, development, mainly organising Blood camps, various type of work under Civic action programme, Drug distribution, Flag march to develop nationality and make people aware for drug addiction. It has been taking measures to remove many misconceptions spread in the seminar and society. At the end of the game, the winners and runner-up players were decorated with medals/ trophies. Expressing great joy by the winning and runner-up teams after being decorated with the trophy, people praised the 79 Bn, CRPF (Srinagar) and expressed their desire to always participate in such types of games.

On this occasion Shri Vishwa Deep Singh Second In Command, Shri Abhigyan Kumar, DC, Shri Suraj Subhash Pawar, AC, Shri Jagdish B.C, AC and other officers of the 79 Bn, CRPF (Srinagar),  jawans and local people is  were present to encourage the players.
