Talat Parvez reviews action taken on directions issued during B2V4 at Panchayat Mammer A

Ganderbal, Dec 3: Secretary Hospitality and Protocol, Talat Parvez Rohella, today convened a meeting to review the action taken on issues raised during ‘Back to Village’ phase IV Programme at Panchayat Mammer A.

Secretary reviewed the action taken by different departments on his directions issued during his visit to Mammer A as a visiting officer under B2V4 Programme.

The departments apprised the Secretary regarding the action taken as per directions issued regarding the grievances and demands raised by the people during B2V4.

Chief Agricultural Officer Ganderbal informed that high quality seeds have been provided to local farmers which has raised their income significantly.

AD Handicrafts informed that soon a training centre will be opened  in the panchayat while GM DIC Ganderbal revealed that the department has identified local youth for providing easy loan on subsidy enabling them start their own businesses.

Secretary asked the District Coordinator NRLM to start Rural haat in the panchayat besides ensuring that, atleast once in a week, market is arranged at JKTDC Hut.

AD Employment department assured that training of 20 youth selected during B2V4 will be provided and will be absorbed in different businesses.

Secretary had similar action taken reports from other departments regarding their progress.

Secretary expressed satisfaction over progress on various issues resolved by the respective departments related to roads, water supply and electricity raised during ‘Back to Village’ program.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah, ACD, Dr Bashir Ahmad, SDM Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather, BDO Kangan, district officers besides BDC Chairperson, Kangan and other PRI members.
