Police organizes meeting with retired officers in Awantipora

Awantipora, Dec 3: In order to review the welfare measures and to address the grievances of retirees, a meeting of Police retired officers association (Non-Gazetted) was held in Awantipora.
On the occasion, SSP Awantipora Shri Mohd Yousif-JKPS chaired the meeting and was accompanied with SP DAR Awantipora. The participants were welcomed by chairing officer and assured that police is always at their disposal. He also said that they should not feel alone and consider themselves still part of Police organization and can approach any Police officer or Police unit at any time of exigency.
During the meeting, the retired officers raised various issues and the chairing officer assured them that their genuine issues/problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their early redressal. The participants were also requested to share their valuable suggestions and experience with Police officers in smart policing.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks and with the assurance that such meetings will be held on regular basis in future also to redress the grievances of the retirees. Besides, Police department is also taking various measures for the welfare of retired Police personnel and their wards.“`
