DC Gbl chairs District Valuation Committee meeting

Discusses preparation for revision of rates for 2023

Ganderbal, Nov 25: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired the District Valuation Committee meeting in order to discuss the preparation for revision of market value guidelines and revision of rates for the upcoming calendar year 2023.

The meeting reviewed the proposals formulated by all committee members including Tehsildars for revision of annual stamp duty rates, market value of land, buildings and other immovable property in the district.

On the occasion, the committee members apprised the DC that the rates have been analysed and informed about the area/village wise percentage of changes to be incorporated for the year 2023.

They also highlighted the methodology adopted, exercise conducted in the field and parameters taken into account for preparing proposals of rates. It was informed that the proposal has been formulated as per J&K Preparation and Revision of market value guideline rules 2011.

The DC held a brief deliberation on the proposal submitted by the committee members who informed that the revised rates are laid down as per criteria for rate fixation.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah; SDM Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather; CEO WMDA, SE R&B, DFO Sindh Forest Division, Sub-Registrar Ganderbal, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, Tehsildars, and other concerned.
