DC Gbl inaugurates Himayat Training Centre in district

Ganderbal, Nov 24: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today inaugurated the Himayat Training Centre near District Hospital run by J&K Youth Development Forum (NGO).

The programme aims to skill 475 trainees in the retail sector with daily taking capacity of 125 who would be provided free training, uniform, stationery etc.

BDC Ganderbal Tasleema Majid, BDC Chairperson Shairpathri Ali Mohd, CEO JKYDF Farooq Ganderbali and various trainees were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC interacted with the trainees and shared the success stories of several entrepreneurs who have got trained through such centers and hoped that the centre will focus to increase the employability of youth by developing their existing skill sets.

He asked the concerned to focus on entrepreneurship qualities development of the youth besides to provide handholding to them to make them job providers rather than job seekers.

Later, the DC also distributed welcome kits among the trainees.
