Pay tuition fee but not transport fee for winters: Director Education

Srinagar, Nov 19 : Director Education Dr Tasaduq Hussain Mir Saturday said that parents have to pay tuition fees to private schools for winters as these schools have to pay salaries to private teachers.

He, however, said that since students won’t avail the transport facility during winter, private schools can’t charge transport fees.

“Parents have to pay tuition-free but not the transport fee,” Direction Education as per news agency Kashmir News Trust told reporters here in Srinagar.

In response to a question, he said that there will be no new admission as of now so parents don’t have to pay the admission fee. “Fee Fixation Committee has issued an order about the admission fee. Private schools have to follow those orders,” he said adding that proper heating arrangements are in place in education institutes.
