3 Persons Injured in Kupwara Road Mishap

Kupwara, Nov 17 : At least three persons were injured, two of them critically, after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident at Wayne area in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday evening.

Reports reaching GNS said that a vehicle ‘Ignis’ bearing registration number JK09B–3054 on way from Reshwari Awura towards Kupwara, turned turtle on reaching Wayne. Three persons sustained injuries in the accident and were evacuated to SDH Kupwara for treatment. Upon assessment, the doctors referred all three of them to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for preferential treatment.

Confirming it, an official identified the injured persons as Bashir Ah Khan, son of Noor Khan, resident of Rishiwari Awoora; Khursheed Ahmad Parray, son of Nazir Ah Parray, resident of Awoora and Mohd Shafi Khan, son of Ali Mohd Khan, resident of Awoora.

“Cognizance has been taken regarding the accident”, the official further said. (GNS)
