More than 60 youth with psychological issues successfully treated by experts of SUKOON centre-18001807202

Over 400 calls received by the centre in previous month

Srinagar, Nov 4: Each passing day at Sukoon Mental Health Helpline centre touches new success, as the counselors and experts render emphatic guidance, counseling and advice to those people seeking help to recover from psychological issues and abstain from substance abuse.

The Incharge of SUKOON centre, Tahir Ahmad Magrey on Friday informed that more than 400 calls were received in last month during which callers held telephonic conversation with the counselors to receive remedial assistance.

Out of those individuals, more than 60 callers have been perfectly treated till date who recuperated from various issues including depression, negative thoughts, trauma etc while substance victims were also helped to quit the abuse and were rehabilitated, he added.

Remaining individuals are also being treated who are at different stages of treatment, Magrey said.

A youngster in his early twenties while talking about the Sukoon and improvement of his health said that he was suffering from depression for a couple of years and was yearning for normal life but failed to get such motivation and help. But after Divisional Administration Kashmir took this initiative of free counseling and upon contacting the professional team, he said that he got huge support.

It has been a month now that I have come out of depression which has changed my entire lifestyle and I am living a refined life, he said with satisfaction.
