B2V4: DC Gbl participates in Gram Sabha along with Director I&C at Rengil

Listens public demands; obtains feedback on development works, Social Welfare schemes

Ganderbal, Nov 1: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today visited Panchayat Halqa Rengil and participated in Gram Sabha along with the Visiting Officer, Director Industries and Commerce (I&C) Kashmir Saloni Rai under fourth phase of the ambitious ‘Back to Village’ programme.

On the occasion, the DC had a brief interaction with the PRI members and locals regarding the status of various government schemes being implemented in their respective areas and took stock of the issues and concerns.

The DC sought feedback from locals on various beneficiary oriented schemes like Ayushman Bharat Cards, Soil Health Cards, PM-KISAN, e-Sharam cards besides online services of revenue department and other beneficiary schemes.

While interacting with the locals, the DC said that the motive behind the B2V program is to get first hand feedback from the people so that administration can improve in serving the people and help them in eradicating their problems in a more efficient and transparent manner.

The DC also interacted with the Visiting Officer who shared her feedback with the Deputy Commissioner regarding the progress of development works and implementation of government schemes in the area.

The DC gave necessary instructions to the officers of the concerned departments for timely redressal of the grievances pertaining to their respective departments.

During the day, Saloni Rai held various activities in the Panchayat Rengil like Mahila Sabhas, Bal Sabha, interaction with locals, sports activities besides inspection of various developmental works in the area.

The local people enthusiastically participated in the program and expressed their views.

Director urged the officers to cultivate a people friendly approach and ensure benefits of the welfare schemes launched by the government reach the deserving beneficiary.
