Kulgam, Oct 29 : A Specific Naka was established at Tengbal crossing Faisal by the Police party of Police Post Frisal led by IC PP Faisall and during checking on specific information ,a vehicle bearing Registration No. JK08E-1795 (Truck) was intercepted. Going through checking of the said vehicle, officers present were able to recover 10kg of Poppy S from the possession of a person namely:- Saleem Mohd Fakeer S/O Liyaqat Ali Faqeer R/O Basoli.
The drug Peddler was arrested on the spot and the vehicle used in the commission of the crime was seized; in this regard Case FIR No. 84/2022 U/S 8/15 of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Yaripora and further investigation into the matter has been taken up.
It is pertinent to mention that Kulgam Police has launched a full-fledged war against drug peddlers/drug dealings and will continue its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of illegal drugs/social evils within the District. The general public of District Kulgam is once again requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling or any other anti-social activities in their vicinity.
