Baramulla Gunfight: Search Operation Resumes At Encounter Site

Srinagar, Oct 27:Search Operation resumed in Sultanpora forests in Sheeri Chandoosa area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Sources told GNS that search operation has resumed at encounter site after there was a exchange of fire between militants and security forces on Wednesday.

The operation was halted due to darkness and resumed this morning with the first light. Since it’s a dense forest, operation may prolong.

Yesterday an army soldier was injured in initial exchange of fire between militants and security forces. He was shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, where his condition is stated to be stable.
